My father, Don Taggart, started Fredrick & Emily's
in 1976, naming it after his children. A respected craftsman, Dad's formula for
success was to develop a safe stripping method,
utilize the highest quality finishes, and provide courteous
service at an affordable price.

Experience - Fredrick & Emily's Church Furniture Restoration has been our family business for over 25 years. Our professional staff has many years of experience in pew refinishing and restoration and takes great pride in restoring church furniture back to its original beauty. Quality - We only restore wood one way, the RIGHT way. Our employees perform to the highest professional standards and take pride in being the best - and it shows! Value - Fredrick & Emily's does not apply temporary fixes to the structure or finish of your wood church pews. We apply a new finish that lasts 50 - 75 years to each individual piece of church furniture. Honesty - We give you clear, easy to understand answers to your questions. We want you to make educated decisions and we will help in every way possible to insure that this happens. Environmentally Responsible - We make sure all chemicals used on your church pews are properly disposed of in accordance with EPA regulations. Additionally, we even make sure any rags used on your church pews are not simply discarded or laundered in a regular washing machine. Our rags are laundered using a special process that removes all chemicals. Once extracted from the water, these chemicals are then disposed of in accordance with EPA regulations. Insurance - Fredrick & Emily's Church Furniture Restoration makes sure our workers are properly insured for injuries obtained while on your property as well as ours. We also assume responsibility of your pieces while in transport to our shop, at our shop, and back to your location. We insure each piece of your church furniture at replacement cost. Safety - We use only the safest processes in refinishing your church furniture. We strip the finish off with a chemical stripper that does not damage the wood.
